6 reasons that may cause you to lose control over eating

Do you feel that your control over the food is gone? That you really can no longer keep control of what goes into your mouth, how much, how and when? It happens to almost all of us sometimes, and there are some really logical reasons for this that if you are aware of, you will probably know how to deal with it and regain control of your life. So what are the reasons?

Not eating enough or not nutritious - if you don't eat enough calories per day, according to your body's requirement, then you will probably be hungry and as a result you can attack the food uncontrollably. In addition, if you eat foods devoid of vitamins and minerals, you will probably find yourself reaching for chocolate or high-sugar foods that provide quick energy but disrupt blood sugar levels and cause overeating. What to do? Eat enough, avoid diets, and make sure to introduce enough nutritional values into the body from all nutrients.
- You avoid everything you like - if you really like chocolate but avoid it completely, then there's a chance that once a week or two you'll find yourself devouring a whole pack or two, just because you didn't allow yourself to eat it occasionally in moderation. so what are we doing? If you really like chocolate, then allow yourself a guilt-free cube or two every now and then or find healthier substitutes and save the chocolate for the weekends. But don't limit it excessively and don't make foods forbidden or dangerous.
- You use exercise as a punishment for what you ate - exercise is not a punishment, it is a healthy and positive thing you do for yourself to feel better or look better. What is the problem? that many people allow themselves to eat much more because later they will train and this causes a lack of control over food and also turning training into a punishment. Separate food from training. There is no connection between the two.

You are in pursuit of the weight scale- if you are not able to leave your weight scale aside and use it only rarely, maybe it is better to take it out of the house. Obsessive use of weight scale can cause us frustration that leads to depression or changing moods that will result in you feeling that you have no control over food. What to do? It's time to move the weight on. You are much more than a number. Focus on health, not numbers.
- You are occupied with guilt - you know that after you overdid it a little with the food or you ate a little too much of the cake and the guilt started to eat you until you ate even more and more? Guilt is much more fattening than food. Many people eat much more because of the feeling of guilt for what they ate, the feeling of sadness, anger or deprivation. so what are we doing? Be more forgiving of yourself. Even if you overindulged in unhealthy eating, move on with your life and remember to balance the day after. Any anger at yourself is unnecessary and only makes you lose control even more.
- Your environment affects you - your environment has an effect on all your living habits and, among other things, also on your eating. For example: if you are in a relationship where you meet only in the evening and shared meals have become your favorite pastime, you will probably feel that control over your eating is disappearing. Or if your spouse loves pizza and junk food and eats it from you often, you might eat it too. so what are we doing? Try to separate your entertainment from your eating habits. Come to your meetings and try to be the ones who influence your menu. For example: instead of ordering something from outside or going to a restaurant, prepare something healthy at home, or alternatively, find other pastimes that do not include food, such as watching a movie, or doing sports as a couple.
